Day by day plan
Day 1
Arrival in Colombo
Airport pickup and city orientation tour. Visit Gangaramaya Temple and Galle Face Green. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 2
Colombo to Sigiriya
Drive to the Cultural Triangle. Visit Dambulla Cave Temple en route. Evening at leisure near Sigiriya.
Day 3
Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa
Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress at sunrise. Afternoon ruins tour of Polonnaruwa ancient city.
Day 4
Anuradhapura
Full day exploring the sacred city: Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, and ancient monasteries.
Day 5
Kandy and Hill Country
Drive to Kandy via Matale spice garden. Visit Temple of the Tooth Relic. Evening Kandyan dance performance.
Day 6
Scenic Train to Ella
Board the highland train from Kandy. Wind through tea plantations. Arrive Ella by late afternoon.
Day 7
Ella Hikes and Nine Arches
Morning hike to Little Adam's Peak. Nine Arches Bridge walk. Ravana Falls visit.
Day 8
Ella to Yala Safari
Drive to Yala via Wellawaya. Afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park.
Day 9
Mirissa and Southern Coast
Morning whale watching (seasonal). Afternoon at Mirissa Beach. Sunset drive to Galle Fort.
Day 10
Galle to Colombo and Departure
Morning at Galle Fort. Coastal drive back to Colombo for departure flight.
