Day-by-Day Plan
Day 1
Arrival (BIA) → Negombo
Welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo. Settle in by the coast and unwind with a lagoon boat ride — calm waters, kingfishers, and fishing catamarans.
Day 2
Negombo → Kalpitiya
Head northwest to Kalpitiya: mangrove boat exploration and world-class kite surfing in steady lagoon winds (conditions permitting).
Day 3
Jaffna — temples & fort (1/2)
Drive to Sri Lanka’s northern tip. Visit Nallur Kandaswamy Devasthanam and the historic Jaffna Fort — Tamil culture, spicy cuisine, and a different pace from the south.
Day 4
Jaffna — islands & sacred springs (2/2)
Boat to Nagadeepa Purana Viharaya and bathe at Kīrimalai Sacred Water Springs. Optional extra neighbourhood wanders for cuisine and markets.
Day 5
Trincomalee — east coast wonders
Koneswaram Temple on the cliffs, Fort Frederick, Seruwawila, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Pathirakali Amman. Marine side: Pigeon Island snorkelling and a catamaran whale & dolphin watch.
Day 6
Arugam Bay — surf & village rhythm
South along the east coast to laid-back Arugam Bay — beginner-friendly sand breaks or mellow beach time under the palms.
Day 7
Kumana safari
Private jeep safari in Kumana National Park — coastal forest, elephants, leopards, and superb birdlife where jungle meets the sea.
Day 8
Tangalle & Matara coast
Hummanaya Blow Hole near Matara, a solo boat ride through village waterways, and quiet time on Tangalle’s sweeping beach.
Day 9
Hiriketiya horseshoe bay
Full day at Hiriketiya — surf sessions or reef snorkelling in a tucked-away horseshoe bay with bohemian cafés.
Day 10
Mirissa marine day
Sunrise at Coconut Tree Hill, catamaran whale & dolphin watching, turtle hatchery visit, then snorkelling, diving, or fishing as you prefer.
Day 11
Ahangama / Weligama
Morning surf at forgiving reef/sand breaks; afternoon Sri Lankan cooking class in Weligama with spices and curries.
Day 12
Galle & southwest highlights
UNESCO Galle Fort, stilt fishermen, Japanese Peace Pagoda, Turtle Beach, Madu River safari, Lunuganga & Brief Garden, Kosgoda turtles, Jungle Beach, optional jet-ski.
Day 13
Colombo city immersion
Gangaramaya Temple, Viharamahadevi Park, Independence Square, Red Mosque, Galle Face Green sunset, Lotus Tower views, National Museum, Port City lookout.
Day 14
Departure
Transfer to BIA for your outbound flight.
