Day by day plan
Day 1
Arrival and Colombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo. Evening walk along Galle Face Green. Welcome dinner.
Day 2
Sigiriya and Dambulla
Drive to Sigiriya. Climb the Lion Rock Fortress (UNESCO). Afternoon visit to Dambulla Cave Temple with its Buddha statues and frescoes.
Day 3
Polonnaruwa Ruins
Explore the ancient royal city of Polonnaruwa: the Gal Vihara rock temple, Parakrama Samudra reservoir, and royal palace ruins. Afternoon elephant safari.
Day 4
Anuradhapura Sacred City
Visit Anuradhapura: the Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya Dagoba, and ancient monastic complexes. Village bullock cart experience.
Day 5
Village Life and Departure
Morning village life experience with a cooking class with a local family. Transfer back to Colombo for departure.
